The Sustainability Playbook Working Group is creating an online handbook for UC researchers on sustaining open source at UC, filled with interviews from UC researchers who have already sustained open source software and hardware projects.
Chair: Virginia Scarlett
Membership: Open to anyone interested.
What this group does¶
The group develops the playbook section by section and interviews UC maintainers to ground its guidance in real experience. Success looks like a practical, living handbook that UC projects can turn to for keeping their work, and the people behind it, healthy for the long term. The playbook is a work in progress, with an initial release planned for fall 2026.
